He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Newton and Martha Mauldin Newton; his wife Dixie Newton; his daughter Cynthia Malay Crawford; and his grandson Myles Scott-Newton Harrison.
He is survived by: his sister Joy Bruce of Camden, AR. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
