He was predeceased by: his parents, Arville McGowan and Iva Wallace McGowan; his wife Jacqueline Sue Britt; his siblings, Carl, Jesse, Ernest, Paul McGowan and Katherine McGowan; and his nephews, Randy Bench and Tom Lester.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffery Lynn McGowan, Jr. (Sandra) of Calico Rock, Scott McGowan of Calico Rock and Chad McGowan (Tyra) of Norfork; his sister Carol Whitehead (Kenneth) of Salesville; his grandchildren, Miranda McGowan, Josie McGowan, Pearl Hanna (Tristan), Ivy Lawless (Colton), Kyler McGowan, Caleb McGowan, Cobey McGowan, Jackson McGowan and Nellie McGowan; and his great grandchildren, Shelby Croney, Joseph Kelly and Wylie Williams. He is also survived by other relatives and many good friends.
