He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Carter and Beatrice Carter; his wife Joyce Carter; and his brother Vernon Carter. He is survived by: his daughters, Sharli Jones (Sam) and Kathy Pietronico (Glenn); his siblings, William Carter, Jr., Bernice Osborn and Shirley Maples; and his grandchildren, Tara Barnes (Andy), Shay Johnson (Ryan), Alicia Pietronico, Kyle Pietronico, Nathan Pietronico, James Pietronico and Marissa Pietronico. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
