He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Durlin Welch, Sr. and Martha Fletcher Welch. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Rush (Mark) of Guion, Kimberly Rush (Mitch) of Melbourne, Patty Merchant of Illinois, Colleen Welch (Earl Freeman) of Calico Rock, Angel Welch of Calico Rock, Cory Welch of Calico Rock and Michael Wolfe of Illinois; and his siblings, Helen Chin, Larry Edmond Welch, Sr. of Illinois and Donald Joseph Welch of Illinois. He is also survived by other relatives and many good friends.
