He was predeceased by: his parents, Acy Akridge and Juanita Akridge (Shepard); and his son Kevin Akridge. He is survived by: his wife Heidi Akridge (Dinnell); his daughters, Heather Spencer and Juanita Musto; his children-in-law, Heather Akridge (Owens), Aaron Spencer and David Musto; his brothers, Acy and Richard Akridge; and his grandchildren, Malachi Spencer, Kaylie Akridge, Micah Spencer and Vera Musto.
