He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Howard, Elaine Dever Cary, Haywood and Helen Edwards Hoffpauir; his niece Isla Rose Cary; his uncle Gary Hoffpauir (Daniel Cary); his aunt Edith Cary Hallmark; and his cousin Andy Hoffpauir.

He is survived by: his parents, John Cary and Peggy Hoffpauir Cary; his brother Stuart Cary (Kim); his nephew Spencer Cary; and his aunts and uncles, Martha Cary, Mary Durr (Danny), Sharon Soileau (Bruce), David Cary (Angel), Darrell Hoffpauir (Christi) and Jerry Hoffpauir (Theresa).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A burial was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (1355 Evangeline Hwy, Jennings, LA 70546).
