He was predeceased by: his parents, L. C. Rea and Floy Rea; his grandparents, John, Millie Rea, Newt and Aldy Queary; and his nephew Sammie Shields.
He is survived by: his brother Rex Rea (LaVonda); his nieces, Samantha Kidd (John) and Monica Shields; his great-nieces, Alyssa Kidd and Marlee Shields; his great-nephew Mason Shields; his cousins, Donna, Raney McCracken, Chris and Bill Johnson; and his aunt Jerrie Ann.
