He was predeceased by: his parents, Nash Whittington and Hazel Hutcheson Whittington; and his brothers, Edward (Dewanna) and Robert Whittington. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hightower Whittington; his children, Jan Whittington, Andrew Whittington (Carla) and Joseph Whittington; his siblings, Loyd Whittington (Cherry), Paul Whittington (Beverly) and Vivian Whittington Baker (Arnold); and his granddaughters, Lily and Lucy Robinson.
