He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Silas and Buena Mae Fitts (Pyron); and his siblings, Otha Wayne "Red" Fitts, Doris "Juanita" Freeman and Margaret "Sissy" Hill.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Amy; his wife Shirley McCallie Fitts; his children, Russell Fitts, Bruce Fitts (Stephanie) and Amy Lloyd; and his brothers, Robert Earl "Rob" Fitts (Barbara), Donald "Pete" Fitts (Marty) and Barron "Boopy" Fitts (Karen). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
