He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Bateman Simpson and Ester Nelson-Simpson; and his sisters, Carolyn Shumard and Iris Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Minnie Jean Burrow-Simpson; his sons, Larry Simpson of Beebe and Travis Simpson (Kim) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; his grandsons, Britt Simpson (Kristi) of Beebe, Bryan Simpson (Denna) of Palestine, Zach Simpson of Grady and Donald Glean Simpson (Jordan) of Helena, Arkansas; and his brothers, Joe Simpson (Pat) of Texas and Gary Simpson (Maryann) of Mississippi. He is also survived by his ten great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.
