He is survived by: his former wife Marie Elfer Hudson; his daughter Sherry Hudson Jacob; his grandchildren, Crystal Marie Sandifer of St. Petersburg and Shawn Sandifer Bembry of Perry; his sister Karen Hudson Carpenter (Ken); his nephew Russell Adam Carpenter (Kathleen Morrow); his great-nephew Kai Carpenter of Reston, Virginia; and his nephews, Philip Craig Carpenter of Nurnberg, Germany and Jeffrey Chase Carpenter of Atlanta, Georgia.
