She was predeceased by: her parents, Ola Mae Stringer Harper and James Grigsby; her brother James Grigsby, Jr.; her children, Laterra Vonsalle Harris (Cedric) of Houston, Texas, Shantera Rena Harris of Houston, Texas and Jeremy Eugene Harris (Tanzie) of Houston, Texas; her sisters, Daphnie Marie Grigsby of Denver, Thelma Romaldo (Gerald), Gloria Jean Garza (Lee), Gloria Dean Johnson (Mac) and Sheila Harper; and her grandchildren, Alexis Harris of Texarkana, Patrick Harris, Tre (Daisia Harris), Aniaya Nelson, Jeremy Harris Jr., Toriana of Washington, Mia of Washington, Jaycee Harris of Houston and Kimi of Houston.
