She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Sterl" and Wanda Powell (Weathers); her husband Herbert Mitchell; and her stepdaughter Lonnie McCloskey of Arizona. She is survived by: her stepchildren, Ronnie Smith of Texas, Toby Mitchell of Arkansas, Herbert Lee Mitchell, III of Missouri and Melinda White of Arizona; her brother Eddie Powell (Jackie); her niece Audra Veazey; and her nephew Dustin Powell. She is also survived by friends and extended family.
