He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershel Elmer and Mattie Rae Stites (Chisam); and his siblings, Hershel Stites and Evelyn Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Veda Jane Stites (Gottfried); his sons, Alex Stites (Traci) of Bellevue and Jeff Stites of Newport; his grandchildren, Maggie Lynne Stites, Jordan Nicole Stites and Jakie Tyler Stites; and his sisters, Glenda VanWinkle of Mt. View and Gloria Dawn Slater of Moss Point, Mississippi. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Due to COVID-19 mandates, masks are required for all visitation and funeral services.
