It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Catherine Yates of Booneville, Arkansas, born in Odessa, Texas, who passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Denver Perkins and Patsy Perkins; her former husband Leroy Yates; her sons, James Lee Yates and Kevin Eugene Yates; her grandson Richard Yates; and her brothers, Allen Perkins and Tommy Perkins.
She is survived by: her sons, Douglas Kyle Yates of Paris and Steven Vaughn Yates (Sherry) of Magazine, Arkansas; her fiancé Paul Delawder of Mansfield, Arkansas; and her siblings, Ron Perkins of Booneville, Arkansas and Barbara Lyle Perkins of Magazine, Arkansas. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and other family and friends.
