He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Reffer and Rosemary Reffer (Strebitz); and his sisters, Nancy, Karen Reffer, Cathy Dahlgren and Terry (Don Reffer).
He is survived by: his wife Janice Reffer; his children, Rob Reffer (Lori) of Booneville and Roxanne Reffer of Topeka, Kansas; his stepchildren, Dennis, Landy Carkhuff, Cyndy Nesbit and Candace Sturtz; his sister Dana Walker (Duane) of Algona, Iowa; his grandsons, Michael Pitts, Tyler Weinbrecht and Robert Reffer; and his great grandchildren, Jason Pitts, Rip Weinbrecht and Roy Linn Wallace. He is also survived by several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
