Shirley Ann Laster Obituary
Shirley Ann Laster, 72, of Bono, Arkansas passed away at her home on July 2, 2023. She was born on August 16, 1950 in Lepanto, Arkansas to James Leggett and Evelyn Smelley. She enjoyed reading, visiting with her neighbors, drinking coffee, watching Wheel of Fortune, playing with her granddaughter Mallory, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include; three daughters: Linda Hill (David) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Becky Sairls (Dennis) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Martha Hardy of West Plains, Missouri; four sons: Rick Laster of Kennett, Missouri, Steve Laster of Kennett, Missouri, Joey Laster of Indiana, Michael Laster of Rock Hill, South Carolina; two sisters: Peggy Copeland of Cooter, Missouri, Emily Garrett-Pruett (Brandy) of Kennett, Missouri; five grandchildren: Mallory Norwood (Dustin), Kara Sairls, McKenna Sairls, Macy Hill, Kamden Sairls; three great grandchildren: Marleigh Norwood, Maleigh Norwood, Murphy Norwood; and a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by; her parents: James Leggett and Evelyn Smelley; loving husband: J.B. Laster; and three brothers: Doug Leggett, Sidney Leggett, William Leggett.
Pallbearers: Dustin Norwood, Kamden Sairls, Tony Copeland, Chris Copeland, David Leggett, and Kenneth Leggett.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas with Bro. Gary Henderson officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park in Jonesboro, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
