He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Kent and Bertie Kent; his former wives, Irene Kent and Nelma Kent; and his siblings, Junior Kent and Verneal Kent.
He is survived by: his children, Darol Kent (Linda), Dan Kent (Sherry) and Carolyn (late Jerry); his grandsons, Anthony Kent, Scott Chamberlain, Chris Chamberlain, Jody Austin, Alistair Kent and Sheffield Kent; and his great grandchildren, Kent Chamberlain, Parker Chamberlain and Tony Kent. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren.
