He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Layne and Nina Layne of Black Rock, Arkansas.; and his son Timothy Scott Layne. He is survived by: his wife Linda Layne; his children, Tobey Layne and Erin Layne of Washington; his granddaughters, Kalli and Hanna; his great grandchild Isaiah; and his siblings, Kaye Brown, Brenda Bennett, Lisa Layne of Horseshoe Bend and Byron Layne (Connie) of Glencoe, Arkansas..
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home (300 W Matthews Ave, Jonesboro, AR 72401). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery (3910 Harrisburg Rd, Jonesboro, AR 72404).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Friends of Horseshoe Bend Animals, a non-profit organization focused on helping local animals.
