We are sad to announce that on September 26, 2023, at the age of 85, James Leon Shelton of Black Rock, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Tibble Shelton and Felia Shelton; his wife Yvonne Shelton; his siblings, Hulen Shelton and Jolene Shelton; his grandson Grant Shelton; and his stepchildren, Cindy Higginbotham and Danny Higginbotham.

He is survived by: his sons, James Shelton, Jr. (Monica) of Jonesboro and Tim Shelton (Angela) of Black Rock; his siblings, Robert Shelton (Fern) of Portia and Verlene Cantrell of Fresno, California; his granddaughter Lauren Shelton of Jonesboro; his stepgranddaughter Crystal Smith; his stepgreat-grandsons, Aaron and Cody Daughertree; and his great great grandchild Henry Finn Daughertree. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
