He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Cole Fankhouser; and his father William Curt Fankhouser. He is survived by: his daughters, Zahra Leigh and Lily Victoria Fankhouser; his brother Shea; his sister-in-law Valerie Fankhouser; his mother Karolyn Fankhouser; his aunt Kenniann Summerell; and his siblings-in-law, Bob and Vicki Cole.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a memorial donation to The Call in Garland & Hot Spring Counties to help in providing a safe home for children in foster care.
