She was predeceased by: her parents, Blanche Hanby Newman and Clay Newman; her son Mark Newman Porter; and her brother Larry K. Newman. She is survived by: her husband Gene T. Porter; her son Paul Gene Porter (Laurie Porter) of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Ryan Bartlett, Jack Porter, Luke Porter, Tyler Porter, Chris Taylor and Taryn Nunez; her great grandchildren, Tyana Taylor, Alijah Nunez, Madison Bartlett, Maddox Bartlett and Maverick Bartlett; and her nephews, Clay Newman (Elinor) and Clyde Newman (Carol).
