She was predeceased by: her parents, William Joseph and Valley Kate Chism Witt; her husband James Wilson Wharton; her sons, Arlie James Wharton and Charles Lee Wharton; her sister Marion Jo Smith; and her siblings-in-law, Ophelia Witt and Sky Banks.
She is survived by: her son Roger; her daughter-in-law Angie Wharton of Eureka Springs; her daughters, Luann (Gary Grigg) and Jenna (Reuben Waldron); her siblings, Jerry Witt of Baytown, Texas, Paul (Shirley Witt) and Billie Banks of Gainesville, Texas; and her grandchildren, Kimberly (Brandon Stone), Jason Grigg, James (Amber Waldron), Wesley (Jodie Waldron), Mandy (Jonathan Sadler), Kassy (Chris Housewright), Kristy (Cory Smith) and Brett (Alanna Henson). She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
