She was predeceased by: her mother Myrtle Harris; her brothers, Woody Harris of Virginia and Wendell; her sister-in-law Edna Harris of North Carolina; her sister Edna; her brother-in-law Dewey Thornton; her nephews, DeWitt Thornton of North Carolina and Ricky Thornton of North Carolina; and her sisters-in-law, Jonnie Morris of Alpena, Rose Doty of Berryville, Roma Lee (Mert Mertens) of Fort Smith and Paula June (Gaines Eugene Hampton) of Berryville, Arkansas..
She is survived by: her father Theodore Harris; her husband James W. "Jimmy" Carr, Jr.; her children, Tanya McBryde (Matthew), James W. Carr, III, Melony Parker of Berryville, Nehemias Lopez, Noah Bourgeois and Melinda Gonzales; her siblings-in-law, Laura Welch of Berryville and Lewis Morris of Alpena; her siblings, Roy Harris (Connie) and Judy Barbour; her sister-in-law Sallie Harris of North Carolina; and her grandchildren, Marcus Dorsey (Jacqueline) of Mattie Fultz, J. J, Parker of Berryville, Emmy Parker of Berryville, Johnathon Nelson of Huntsville, Arkansas., Brett Nelson of Huntsville, Arkansas. and Ryan Nelson of Huntsville, Arkansas.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel (302 E Madison Ave, Berryville, AR 72616). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Freeman Heights Baptist Church (522 W Freeman Ave, Berryville, AR 72616). A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at the High Cemetery (1582 Co Rd 422, Berryville, AR 72616).
