She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wood and Grace Wright Wood; her spouses, John Allsop and Delmar Sloan; her siblings, Beulah Wood Logue (Donald), Helen Wood Childress (Elvin), Carol Wood Graning (Harold), Gene Wood (Ernestine Wood Callis) and Herman Wood; her nieces and nephews, Lena Wood Devore, Dale Logue Speakman, Carol Ann Logue Sinclair, James Donald Logue, Daniel Kent Childress, Connie Jo Childress Lewis (Bill), Sara Lorton Tener, Diana Lorton and Richard Allsop; and her sisters-in-law, Richard Allsop, Sam Allsop (Joyce) and Ethel Allsop Lorton (Roland).
She is survived by: her cousin Marie Lyons; her daughters, Sharon Phillips (Wayne) of Bentonville, AR, Sue Knapp (Edward) of West Yellowstone, MT and Carla Graning Burr; her sister-in-law Rosemary Wood of Pana, IL.; her grandchildren, Ron Knapp (Rhonda), Sherri Morgal, Terri Tolbert (Mike) and Tom Phillips (Susan); her granddaughter-in-law Ronda Phillips; her great grandchildren, Zac Barczewski, Kaitlin Reese, Wade Phillips, Wyatt Phillips, Madison Knapp, Jake Knapp, Rusti Harrigfeld (Patrick) and Kristin Morgal; her great great grandchildren, Weston Harrigfeld, Cash Harrigfeld, Marik Wilson, Hazel Maloney and Harper Barczewski; her nieces and nephews, John Allsop, Sam Allsop, Sandy Allsop, Lora Allsop Schultz, Lori VanHouten, Linda Lorton Spier, Peggy Logue Moll, Terry Childress, Dennis Childress, Charles Lee Wood, Cheryl Gene Wood Powers, Jeannie Wood Brachear, Will Wood, Trish Braddock, Mary Lou Graning Grawcock, Debbie Graning Ebeling, Donna Graning Schennum, Jill Graning McDuffy, Harold Frailey and Amy Frailey; and also, Mary Lou and Danny. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
They took on the responsibility of obtaining and putting up the first Christmas lights in Beecher City with the donations from a lot of people and Bernadine and Joan Wood Evans were chairwomen of the first Beecher City Festival and continued in that role for four more years.
