It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Howard Swanson of Bentonville, Arkansas, born in Sutherland, Iowa, who passed away on May 12, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Swanson and Emma Swanson (Sonnichsen); his sisters, Neva Irene, Marguerite Elaine and Marilyn Janice; and his niece Kitty Cavanaugh.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean Swanson (Edwards Cavanaugh). He is also survived by nine children, 27 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
