It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Been in Bentonville, Arkansas, who passed away on March 16, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Been to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Been and Hazel Been (Howard); his former wife Jeri Been; and his sister-in-law Joyce Evans. He is survived by: his wife Karen Been; his daughters, Shelly Summers of Jenks, OK and Shara Turk (Les) of Little Rock; his brother Tom Been (Prissy); his brother-in-law Charles "Bud" Evans; his stepchildren, Keli Folkerts, Kyle Folkerts and Kari Houtchens (Kent); his grandchildren, Taylor Ragan, Drew Ragan (Carly), Jessica Stagg (Matt), Jeffrey Turk (Erica) and Whitney Hartman (Garrett); and his stepgrandchildren, Brandon Folkerts, Luke Folkerts (Jordan), Maggie Presley (Dakota), Olivia South (Preston), Jake Folkerts (Baleigh), Emme Folkerts, Brad Houtchens (Shannon), Heath Houtchens (Anne) and Cordell Houtchens (Emily). He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, his nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Gideon's International, or to a charity of your choice in Bob's memory, continuing his legacy of generosity and love for others.
