He is survived by: his children, Andy Smarsh and Diane Tappana; his sister Susan Goetz; his grandchildren, Coby Smarsh and Aubri Smarsh; his brother Patrick Smarsh; his son David Smarsh; and also, Ricci Smarsh and Vernon Tappana.
