He was predeceased by: his father Loyd Nimon Ellis; his wife Connie Ellis; his son Kently Ellis; and his sister Laveta "Tweedle" Boyd. He is survived by: his mother Delma June Harrell Ellis of Washburn, Missouri; his daughter Lana Patterson of Bentonville; and his sister Fran Horton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
