He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Townsend and Leona Townsend; his wife Wanda; his son Dennis; and his siblings, Maxine, Eugene, Denver and Daryl.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Whittle of Anderson, Missouri, Buddy Townsend (Anita) of Hiwasse and Tommy Townsend (Paula) of Bentonville; his daughter-in-law Nancy of Pea Ridge; and his brothers, Jerry Townsend of Bentonville and Larry Townsend of Gravette. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great - great grandchildren.
