He was predeceased by: his parents, Green Lee Canoy and Lovancia Bell Brown Canoy; his wife Ruby Canoy; his stepdaughter Carolyn Cowan; and his siblings, Voyd Lee Canoy, Lela Mae Hamilton and Myrtle Lee Hile.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Jean Jordan (Ronnie) of Springdale. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.
