She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Bessman and Eda Bessman (Runge); her husband William Reed Burke Jr.; her children, Linda and William "Rusty"; her grandson Scott Hurd; and her great grandchild Shane Mathews.

She is survived by: her children, Wilodene, Wanita, Steven (Sandra), Karen (David Buhr), Wayne (Kimberly) and John (Riezel). She is also survived by 6 children, 24 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
