He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Joseph Ray Cathey (Nancy) and Gregory George Cathey (Cassie); his grandchildren, Natalie Cathey, Andrew Cathey, Addison Cathey, Ashlin Cathey, Avery Cathey and Alex Cathey; and his siblings, John Strickland, Georgie Thomas and Mary Bandy.
