He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Meranda Howell and Melva Marie Crow Howell; his sons, Bobby and Timmy Howell; and his siblings, Darial Howell, JB Howell, Juanita Wilson, Linda Howell and Mary Trentham.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Irene Morgan; and his siblings, Harold Howell of Bentonville, Jimmy Howell of Decatur, Lillie Morgan of Pea Ridge and Bonnie Clark of Pea Ridge. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
