He was predeceased by: his wife June Brust; his siblings, Edith (Quentin "PeeWee" Howe), Patricia (Lorimer "Pete" Peterson), Mary (Orlein Hevle), Judy, Margie and George (Margaret Moderegger); and his brother-in-law Howard Jensen.

He is survived by: his sisters, Janet Hansen (Norvin) of Pender, NE and Kathy Jensen of Lincoln.
