She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernst Kramer and Martha Kramer (Vogel); her husband Melvin; and her siblings, Herb (Wilma), Doris Bergman (Ralph), Marie Wirth (Walter) and Betty Meyer (Art).

She is survived by: her children, Mark Pingel (Connie), Susan Duvall, James Pingel (Mairi) and Paul Pingel (Jill); her grandchildren, Sarah DiPasquale (Johanna Pingel), Michael (Joseph Duvall), Alex (Eric Pingel) and Lily (Hannah Pingel); her great grandchildren, Emma and Matthew DiPasquale; and her brother Roy (Ramona). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
