He was predeceased by: his parents, Sefo Nilsson and Eileen Nilsson; and his sister Nita Armstrong. He is survived by: his wife Alicia Nilsson; his children, Alan Nilsson of Bella Vista and Jenna Hall (Vernon) of Bella Vista; his grandchildren, Caden Hall and Jackson Hall; and his brother Neil Nilsson (Donna) of Brunswick, Georgia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
