He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas Butts and Ruth Onelia Mitchell Butts. He is survived by: his children, Thomas A. Butts (Kelley) of Fulshear, Texas and Ruthanna Butts Birchfield of Canton, Georgia; and his sister Anna Louis Fleming of Ardmore, Oklahoma. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
