She is survived by: her husband Jeremy; her mother Sue; her brother Craig (Charlene); her nieces and nephews, Becka, Blake and Brody; and her aunt Cathy Richter.

In lieu of flowers, her family has asked that pledges and donations be made through the AOK Synod, 4803 S Lewis Ave, Tulsa, ok 74105 in Karen's honor as a memorial to help establish a scholarship fund for future seminarians in her name.
