He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Eidem and Mae Eidem; his wife Helen Lewison Eidem; and his siblings, Jim Eidem, Francis Goergen and Blanch Ashmore.

He is survived by: his brother Malyn Eidem of Rapid City; and his children, Debra Muller (Richard) of Bella Vista, Brian Eidem (Leslie) of Andover, KS, Dave Eidem (Lorrie) of Ft Worth, TX and Jay Eidem of Martindale, TX. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
