He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Alton and Alice Alton; his brothers, William Darwin Alton and Tom Alton; his son-in-law Kevin Taylor; and his grandson Michael Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Alton of Bella Vista; his children, Diana Archer (Mark) of Gravette, Alice Eutsler (Thad) of Aurora, Alicia Taylor of Crain, Alanna Cartwright and Jake Alton (Sally) of Frisco, Texas; his stepson Rick Delp of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.; his sisters, Helen Atkins (John), Geneva Murry, Janet Owens, Lavern Jones and Genevie Roberts; and his half-brother Eric Alton. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
