He was predeceased by: his parents, Jefferson Slatton and Kathleen Slatton (Helson); and his siblings, Betty Pitts and Joe Slatton. He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Miner); his son Jeffrey (Libby) of Hot Springs; and his grandchildren, Madeline of Fayetteville, Ark and Anna Kate.
