She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Arthur Schmidt and Emma Schmidt; her husband William Freeman; her sisters, Corrine Saviano, Janice Sellers and Gail Perkins (Ted); her daughter Kathleen Hajduk (Philip); and her grandchildren, Jason Christopher and Allison Faith. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, her family welcomes a charitable donation to Paws of Honor (link to pawsofhonor.org), which provides veterinary care and products at no cost to retired military and law enforcement canines.
