He was predeceased by: his parents, Reginald Tarter and Vivian Tarter (Arrington); his sisters, Geraldine and Betty; and his grandsons, David and Doug Tarter.
He is survived by: his wife Lois; his sons, Stan (Barbara), Randy (Joyce), Thomas (Debbie) and Joseph (Emily); and his brother Don. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandsons.
