He is survived by: his wife Patty; his former wife Arletha Farriester; his daughter Angela Sutherland (Toni); his stepchildren, Jessica Pebbles and Jonathon Moore; his grandchildren, Zane Anaya, Aubrey Pebbles and Sophia Pebbles; his half-brother Charlie Gabbard; and his brother-in-law Anthony Coffelt.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Dance and Swing Studio (180 Industrial Cir E, Springdale, AR 72762).

“George was always gracious, friendly, and a gentleman on the dance floor. He and Patty made quite an elegant presentation. He once told me about how his private pilot experience came to a screeching halt one day while landing at the Lincoln, CA municipal airport and forgot to put down his landing gear. He realized it too late to make a recovery and came in for a belly landing. No one was hurt. Never saw his face with a frown and always had an eye twinkle. I will miss him.”
