He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Westling and Edna Westling (Messerly); his son John; and his brothers, Clarence, Jr. and Melvin.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his daughters, Pam Johnson (Steve), Twila Lehr (Rick) and Lori Batzel (George); his daughter-in-law Donna Westling of Bentonville, AR; and his sister Janice Lamm of Altoona, IA.
