He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Lee and Mary Ann Vent (Peoples); and his sister Sarah Brown. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Jo Vent (Williams); his children, Amy Jones (John Horn), Jim Vent, Jr. (Carey), Jassen Vent and David Vent (Kimberley Franks); and his sister Frances Cook (Richard). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
