He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie Bell Taylor and Allen Wayne Carpenter; his wife Eldean Screeton Carpenter; his sons, Richard Dean and Allen Fitzgerald; his grandson Travis; his brother-in-law Billy Screeton; and his great grandchildren, Courtney Dean and Lance Corporal Quinson Bullock.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth A. Carpenter, David Carpenter (Maria) of Sherwood, AR. and Terry W. Carpenter (Beth) of Fayetteville, AR.; his grandchildren, Chad Bullock, Tyson Bullock of Richard Allen, JR, Richard Dean II, Wade, Terry Jr., Ross Allen, Taylor Richard Allen III, Christopher, Antonio Zaffino, David A Carpenter Bangkok, Richard A Carpenter Bangkok, Piper Setter, Kesha Zaffino, Angela Grace, Alexandra Howland and Tiffany Ashcraft; his great grandchildren, Samantha Phillips, Brooke Ostoie, Ovinter, Clay Elizabeth Cody Bullock, Aden, Lane and Fowler; and his great great grandchildren, Tana, Rena and Phillips.
