Bessie Lee Gwathney Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bessie Lee Gwathney (Beebe, Arkansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Tripp and Thelma Tripp; her son Jerry Wayne Coulson; and her siblings, Paula Hale, Nellie Crane and Leroy Tripp.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Gwathney; her son Lee-Jay Coulson; and her stepchildren, Donna Moore (Joe), Dena Halbert, Donnie Gwathney and Billy Anderson (Gail). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home (404 W Dewitt Henry Dr, Beebe, AR 72012). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at the Monk Cemetery.
