He is survived by: his parent Barbara Nowlin Dempsey; his brother Rickey Dempsey; his wife Jane Dempsey of Bearden; his sons, Robert Edward "Booder" Dempsey (Susan) of Hampton, John Dempsey (Amy) of Bossier City, LA and Tracy Dempsey (Vonda) of Hampton; his stepdaughter Kathy Clemons (David) of Bearden; and his brother Wayne Dempsey of Calion. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
